The St. Joseph Island Hunters and Anglers Association hold this free event every year the day after our Wild Game Dinner in conjunction with Flurryfest, St. Joseph Island's annual winter carnival. We have had up to 100 children on the ice during the derby. Cash prizes and trophies are awarded to winning entrants and gifts provided by sponsors are given to all the children entered. Hot chocolate, hot dogs, and many goodies are served throughout the day.

Each child receives St. Joseph Island Hunters and Anglers Association Lucky Strike Bait Works lures.
